Alcy, Traditionalist relatives are no excuse for abstaining from all modern communications. I disapprove of your silence on S. Coffee tomorrow? -N
Cissa,
Traditionalist relatives are not an excuse. Do you really think now is the time for me to be making myself known on S...that’s a silly question of course you do. Coffee always but especially tomorrow at 1 perhaps? -Al
Happy birthday, Marls! If you have a day off from the Academy soon, perhaps we can spend the day together. I have a present I'd like to give you in person. From, Alyssa.
Lyssa!
I actually do have a free day scheduled! (Very strange since I hadn’t seen one of those on my list since...what came before the Academy? It’s all become a blur haha) Don’t tell anyone but I think they’re just giving us days now to make sure the exams don’t literally kill all of us because if they did I imagine the paperwork would be a monster. All this babbling just means I’m free Thursday and I miss you something awful Lyssa, where should we meet?
-Marls
Marlene McKinnon, what do you have to say for yourself? It's been far too long mate. I know you're busy with your fancy Auror training, but try to make time for the little people, yeah? Maybe we can go out for a cuppa - or better yet, head to the pub, for old time's sake? Send me an owl once in while. Yours, James Potter
James,
According to my instructors I still have too much to say for myself, would you believe one of them called me mouthy? Are you feeling okay? I never thought I'd see the day you'd call yourself little. Well if you wanted to worry me you've succeeded and of course now I must see you to make sure you haven't been body-snatched. We do need to catch up, how about tomorrow when I get out of training?
[Sisyphus arrived with the package during morning mail. Settling it gently on the table beside Alecto, the great Siberian eagle owl ruffled his feathers, waiting patiently for her to take the attached note (and for a few treats) before loosing a sharp screech and soaring away. Elegant but simple the package itself offered no clue regarding the gift inside. The note was equally vague (and overly flowery for anyone that actually knew Evan) making it obvious that it was designed for a ‘general’ audience.]
Dearest Alecto,
Forgive my sentimentality, but after all you’ve been through these last few weeks, I found I couldn’t stop thinking about you. I hope my gift brings a little smile to your days.
Yours,
E. Rosier
[Inside the package is the following:
With a fully grown (and blooming) Belladonna (more commonly known as Nightshade).
[Spelled to the bottom of the pot for her to discover and read later is an additional note:]
It occurred to me that I’d been rather remiss for a devoted fiance. I do hope the words inspired some fluttering excitement and that you appreciate the suffering I endured at writing them. Perhaps that’s the true gift, who knows?
See you soon.
E.R.
[Alecto recognized the owl as it swooped down towards her and after a split second of intrigue her expression transformed into one of delight. She cooed over the owl like an old friend giving him a few owl treats before she eagerly turned to her gift. Her motions looked hurried to the untaught eye but she was careful to make sure that she took enough time and made enough noise to draw even more than her usual lot of attention. It didn't take much to have much of the table crowded around her or leaning over to get a closer look at her gift and the note that came with it. There was a flurry of activity as she held out the note to Clarissa who, knowing her place in Alecto's production, wiggled with girlish excitement as she spoke rapidly of her friend's loving fiancé. Alecto left the rest to the snakes as she sat back with a fond happy expression looking over her new plant. It wasn't until later that she found the other note and burst into honest peals of laughter. Who said suffering and poisonous flowers couldn't be a girl's best friends?]
AC, I have a few things I would like to discuss with you. I was thinking dinner in Hosmeade on Saturday? Sincerely, E.R.
E.R.,
Dinner sounds lovely. I am free Saturday. I can meet at your convenience. - ASC
p.s.- You won't believe the owls I've been getting from people. Apparently we have a lot to discuss.
Who released you? Where are you? --A
It was a man...I didn't care catch his name. He kept staring at my tits. Why do you want to know? My bail was paid. They can't just take me back. I won't go back! My trial isn't until the tenth. -ASC
