Dealer¡Chris who... shows up at the store reader works at at least four times a week just to talk to her. It starts off with him just coming in to make small talk until it's frequent and he doesn't know how not to show up anymore.

Dealer¡Chris who... always keeps a gun with him for protection. He knows sometimes reader doesn't appreciate or gets scared around it but he doesn't like taking the risk.

Dealer¡Chris who... usually just sleeps around, but the second he was sure the feelings he had for reader were mutual he'd felt like it was cheating so he stoppped.

Dealer¡Chris who... tries to stay away from reader but can't. At first it starts as curiosity but later it's just because he likes her company.

Dealer¡Chris who... struggles with opening up because its new for him. He rather just let reader rant on about whatever it is she won't say around other people.

Dealer¡Chris who... becomes soft-spoken when speaking with reader. He doesn't like startling her or unintentionally raising his voice so he's always careful.

Dealer¡Chris who... tends to get a little jealous when he sees you laughing with another guy. He knows the guy is probably a customer, and you're just being friendly, but that doesn't mean he has to like it.

Dealer¡Chris who... calls reader baby more than her own name just to tease her. He loves seeing her roll or eyes, or how she tries to hide the little smile creeping onto her lips, or the way her chest tightens just a little and her breath becomes deepened.

Dealer¡Chris who... wishes life could be different, so it would be easier for them to be together. He started fantasizing about a world where they would meet and be able to fall in love without the pain from her world or the threats from his creeping in.

Dealer¡Chris who... never plans to fall for reader because he's scared he'll hurt her.

The First Encounter

Today felt the same as yesterday, and the day before that — every day felt the same. Ever since my father got sick two years ago, life hasn't been the same. My dreams kind of got pushed to the side, and I didn't blame anyone for it because I was the one who pushed them away.

Once I graduated from high school, I started working instead of going to college like intended. I told my mother to use the money her and my dad saved up for me — because I never plan to have only one parent standing in a crowd full of people cheering me on if I ever get the chance to graduate from college.

I didn't mind working — it was inevitable in this lifetime unless you win the lottery or are born rich. I just wanted to help because if we could save up soon, we'd be able to pay for my father's chemotherapy. All I wanted was for him to be okay.

I stood behind the counter in the small convenience store I worked at. For now, I wanted to work somewhere close to home so I'd be able to look after my brother and check on my father — the place was a short walk from my house.

During the day, my brother usually was at home because at night he was out doing lord knows what. I tried not concerning myself with whatever he was up to because the last I needed to cause was arguing at home.

A little girl came in the store to buy a chocolate bar and a packet of chips. She gave me her money and smiled at me as she left. Then, about five people came into the store — three girls with two guys. They looked a bit sketchy.

One of the guys came up to the counter. "A pack of Marlboro." The guy said. I nodded and turned to get a pack of Marlboro for him. I put it on the counter. "That's all?" I asked.

"Uh yeah, they're just getting beers... you got a name?" He asked me. I didn't know if I should give this stranger my name. "Skye..."

"Pretty name... Chris." I nodded at his name. "Nice to be acquainted." Then the other guy showed me the beers he chose, and I told them the price, and they paid for their things and then left.

As Chris was leaving, he turned his head back and gave me a small smirk — I looked away from him. My heart was racing slightly... I shouldn't be reacting this way to a stranger. And one that looks like he's got ulterior motivates.

I need to stay focused. No guys. Just work. Help mom. Pray that dad gets better and stay out of trouble.

Quiet¡Reader who... begins to have a habit of thinking its Chris walking into the store every time the door opens. She thinks it's a bad habit and that it needs to stop, but it immediately goes over her head when she hears the door open or actually sees him.

Quiet¡Reader who... doesn't tell Chris all the heavy stuff yet until she feels utterly safe with him. She does talk about anything other — sometimes she's not sure if she makes sense, but he just smiles at her words anyway.

Quiet¡Reader who... isn't sure if Chris is playing with her or if he really likes her, so she cautions her feelings. She wants to trust and believe that he won't hurt her, but she would rather be safe than sorry.

Quiet¡Reader who... asks him all the time to not bring his gun around her because she's frightened by them. He doesn't listen to her, of course, so she forces herself to ignore its existence.

Quiet¡Reader who... never planned on feeling so free with Chris that now she doesn't want to go back into her shell and not live life anymore, especially if he wasn't in it.

Quiet¡Reader who... didn't realize she was falling for Chris until it was too late.

Influencer¡Matt who... attends all your shows once you start 'dating', however instead of it just being for appearance sake he finds himself mesmerized by your energy and voice on stage.

Influencer¡Matt who... loves teasing you at any chance he gets. When you're in public and he knows you can't argue with him for holding you more than usual, pulling you close or kissing you, so he takes advantage.

Influencer¡Matt who... is always holding onto some part of you in public. Whether it's your finger, hand or waist — he's holding onto something. When you try let go or move he pulls you back and holds on a little tighter.

Influencer¡Matt who... let's Nick and Chris make jokes about him being with you even though you both dislike each other. They're the only ones who know it's all a ruse, but they still tease you both, especially him, like hell.

Influencer¡Matt who... borrows your phone sometimes to repost videos of himself on your tiktok account. He enjoys the reaction of fans, especially them thinking it was you. But what he enjoys most is the eyes roll he receives from you.

Popstar¡Reader who... doesn't really like showing people the music she's working until she's sure it's good. She saves the work she's done until studio sessions days, and if she feels like showing anyone, it's probably between her best friends or mom.

Popstar¡Reader who... starts laughing more at Matt jokes because once their not in constant disagreement she realizes he's actually pretty fun to hang out with.

Popstar¡Reader who... has to hide the way her breath falters for a second when Matt puts his arm around her waist in public. She knows she shouldn't be responding like this, but no one is capable of controlling their bodies' reactions to touches from certain people.

Popstar¡Reader who... gets a bit excited everytime she sees Matt at one of her shows — she knows it's just him sticking to their rules but it felt nice to see a familiar face in the crowd occasionally.
