Private Networks for entrepreneurship and business communities
Yes...there are hundreds of social networks out there. And YES! They offer features such as groups, chat rooms, etc. for your team members to exchange ideas, communicate and drive engagement. However, you might want to explore every option before committing to one that might ultimately not satisfy the needs of your organization.
Social networks still have a trust issue when it comes to associations, groups and non-profits that are severely regulated. Everything seems too public, too "out-there".
However, some tech companies have develop interesting products to solve those problems, focusing in certain industries and niches and offering particular tools according to their business models and target markets.
In wind2share´s case, we came across a multinational law association that had the urge of having a customizable and private community focused solely on business and referrals. Since Referrals are our business - literally- we decided to give it a try and explore the market.
Right now, wind2share´s private networks is a free-to-join product, and is currently being offered to organizations and groups in the business and referral industries.
First, we built up an entire platform that could connected to wind2share´s social referral network but still giving privacy and the choice to jump from one platform to another, having the ability to do business and referrals among them as well as promoting opportunities in the public community of entrepreneurs and companies in wind2share.
We added features specially designed to boost opportunities in a collaborative environment- with a completely customizable appearance, privacy settings and tools- where entrepreneurs and business groups can exchange ideas, projects and documents in a private and safe environment.
At first we wanted to do our pilot testing with the law association alone. But we realized we needed more data to really see what this could turn into. We needed to try it with different companies and groups, with different backgrounds in different markets.
Now everyone is invited! We are talking to different companies, organizations and groups to join our pilot for free, offering 24-7 support and the network itself, in exchange for their valuable feedback.
If you think this could be a good fit for your company, please let us know! We would love to have you join us.
