Sawyer Marilyn Rhodes was born the third Rhodes on the 25th of April to Phillip James and April Rhodes. As growing up as Phillip and April’s daughter, she gotten used to the cameras in her life and keeping track of her life while making sure that she didn’t do anything too dangerous. She would often go to her mother’s set, get to know how everything worked behind the scenes before she would go to her father’s studio to see him compose. She would say that she has a normal childhood, despite of being in the Hollywood spotlight.
Everything changed when her younger sibling, Jonica, tragically passed away at the age of sixteen. Some would definitely say that Jonica and Sawyer were two peas in a pod, knowing each other’s secrets and signal when to take someone away from them. April and Phillip were concerned for them when they were both hit high school, and went into the same crowd of friends. When they were sixteen, Sawyer kept an eye close on her sister, knowing that things might end up going bad for both of them if the house party that they were invited too would go south. The minute thing went south, Sawyer gotten both of them out of there and on the way to their house, but things only got worse for the girls. They gotten T-boned in a middle of taking a left, smashing their car into a light post and pinned the girls into the car. Both of them went to the hospital, Sawyer having a broken wrist , a concussion and a cut above her left eyebrow. Jonica, on the other hand, ended up in medical coma to reduce brain swelling. After a few weeks of hoping that she would pull out of it, Phillip and April made the decision of taking their youngest off of life-support.
Sawyer was to the point where she didn’t get out of bed and didn’t want to go to school; Phillip and April decided to send her to Phillip’s sister in New York and hoped that she would be better. One thing that they weren’t counting was her acting her grief by stealing from people and creating fights in the hallways. Over the years, she graduated from New York, with a 4.0 gpa and with a police record and a new state of mind. When she heard about Privilege out in Los Angeles, part of her wanted to go back but the other part didn’t want to go back because of the memories that still haunted her dreams. So she decided to stay in New York after she fell in love with the idea of acting and journalism. She went to NYU for Acting and Mass Media journalism with the dream of working for the New York Times. She transferred from NYU to Privilege with all of her core classes finished and now she’s working on more requirements for her major.

Both Phillip and April made their Broadway debut when they were only teenagers, everyone had a feeling that it would’ve short lived but it wasn’t. Once they were in their twenties, they headed out to Hollywood to peruse an acting career. April started working on TV shows and Phillip became a composer and a stunt man.
