OC kiss week
CLANG.
The unmistakable sound of steel hitting steel rang out as Tomsin fought back her kismesis' attack with her spear. Gaeleo simply reeled in his chain-scythe, smirking at her before tossing it back in her direction. Ducking to one side, Tomsin smirked right back and charged at him, cocking her fist in an attempt to get to him before he could pull back his weapon again.
However, she'd miscalculated. She was inches away from him when she saw his chain flash in front of her stomach. She tried to back up, but the chain pulled taut around her midsection, pinning her arms to her sides. Gaeleo couldn't keep his smirk -- that cocky expression she hated so much and yet couldn't get enough of -- from turning into a huge grin as he gave the chain a hard tug, pulling Tomsin closer.
"Come on now, Melbon. Surely that isn't all you have for me tonight? I'm disappointed." He pursed his lips and tsk'ed at her. "Or maybe you actually want to be subjected to what I have planned if I win...?"
Tomsin gritted her teeth and snarled at him. "Oh, fuck you."
"In good time." Gaeleo gave the chain another tug. "Now, maybe I let you go here and we have a bit more fun... but if I do that, what do I get out of it?"
Tomsin raised an eyebrow, shooting him a puzzled look before feeling another harsh tug -- he had yanked on the chain holding her, and his arms were on hers, holding her tightly as he pressed his lips to hers for a rough kiss.
The kiss took her by surprise, and she squirmed a bit, but didn't pull away -- and just like that, after a couple seconds, it was over. Gaeleo untangled his chain from her and took a couple steps back, returning to a fighting distance as he twirled the weapon around. "Now then. I suppose we're even, hm?"
"Whatever." Tomsin winked at him and then smirked, raising her spear. "I'll make it my advantage soon enough..."

Cool! How long does it take for you to draw a week’s update? What are you tweaking at the last minute? It’s sometimes a little hard for me to follow the time shifts — have you considered having a caption at the top of each strip?
Depends on the number of pages: a page takes me about three hours, more or less, depending on how complicated it is. So a two-page update will take me about 6 hours, but sometimes four and sometimes eight.
Things I tweak at the last minute: sometimes I decide on better dialogue even as I'm drawing. Sometimes the page layout doesn't work like I imagined it in my head, or I need to put the characters in positions that change the speaking order. A couple of times I have had a really great idea at the last minute that has meant I've nudged in a couple of extra pages.
I have headers every time there is a new location or new group of characters in the past, but I don't put them on every single update. I can!
How does the ongoing story-comic (OSC?) canonically differ from The Winter Soldier, if at all?
Hi, silentsamemu! thanks for the question! This is funny because I was just thinking I should explain the differences between the ongoing story and the one-shots that I post. The Big Ongoing Comic is called “The Prizefighters" on Ao3, in reference to Bernie Rosenthal’s love for pro wrestling, which comes up in this comic
The story picks up after the events of The Winter Soldier, in June, 2014, and everything that is canon in the MCU up to that point is canon in the comics. (Apart from AoS events, because I haven’t watched it yet!) What you need to know:
—Bucky has been living in hiding since the events of TWS. We don't yet know what happened to him in the time between, but it's not a lot of time.
—Steve is hunting for Bucky, and is being assisted by Sam and occasionally Natasha.
—Sam and Natasha have been dating since BEFORE the events of The Winter Soldier, because I drew this and liked it so much that I decided to use it.
—Sharon Carter is working for the CIA, as established at the end of Winter Soldier.
—Bernie Rosenthal is Steve’s ex-girlfriend/fiancee in 616, who also was Bucky’s legal defense when he was put on trial for his crimes as The Winter Soldier.
This whole thing came about because I wanted to explore the idea of Bernie being part of the MCU. She’s one of my favorite characters in the Captain America comics. In 616, Steve and Bernie conveniently live in the same building, Bernie in the apartment right below Steve’s. So I wanted to push that coincidence and put Bernie in Steve’s old apartment from the 1940s. I liked the idea of starting with her interactions with Bucky, re: his status as a wanted criminal, rather than with Steve; I thought it created an interesting dynamic. I also wanted to play with the idea that Sharon was hired by the CIA specifically to hunt down the Winter Soldier. I wanted to explore the idea of a lot of characters who are good people being at cross-purposes with each other.
Oddly, I have an action plot planned for this comic, but not a romantic one.
As long as I’m on the subject, to clarify the relationship between the ongoing story and the other comics: if it’s not part of the ongoing story, it doesn’t take place in the same universe, or really any set universe at all. Characters’ romantic relationships and histories change on a whim based on what I think is funny to write that day, though Carol and Rhodey are almost always married, because why not?
I hope that helps! Thanks again for asking!
§ Tomsin
==> Tomsin: Actually grunt as your kismesis slams you into the wall… but kiss him back, hard. Bite his lip a little, reach around him and under that fancy jacket of his, claw his back a bit. He can take the initiative, sure, but you’re still pretty confident you can get him out of his expensive clothes and leave him a moaning animal.
I want the K; Maxi, Tomsin
18: Pearl Necklace (Maxi/Cuchul) ((Maxi obviously can’t dish out one of those so she’ll be receiving it))
2: Nipple Nibble (Tomsin/Gaeleo)
