2. Launch X431 V 8 Inch VS Launch X431 Diagun IV The major difference between Launch X431 V 8.0 and Launch X431Diagun IV lies in: （1）. Lanch X431 V support much more vehicle brands, like Indian (Mahindra, TATA), Australian Ford, Holden, Malay Porton, Perodua, Brazilian Fiat,GM etc, which Diagun IV scanner does not support. （2）. X431 V comes with much more language than diagun. （3）. X-431 V 8inch supports special functions like gear learning, immo key programming, diagun IV does not support.

3. Launch Diagun IV vs. Pro Mini:

Function: same Diagun IV: looks like a mobile phone Pro mini: looks like a tablet. Price: Diagun IV is more cheaper than Pro mini.

4. Launch X431 V vs. X431 V+:

Function: same Size: X431 V 8inch X431 V+ 10 inch Price: X431 V is cheaper

Difference: That’s no difference if you don’t have heavy truck diagnosis. X431 V+ & HD model used for heavy truck diagnosis.

5. Launch X431 Pro Mini vs. Pros Mini:

No difference.

6. Launch X431 Diagun IV vs. Snap-On Verus vs. Autel:

Launch X431 Diagun IV has the full bidirectional control capability. There is nothing the versus scan tool can do that the Diagun cannot. Sometimes you need a power Arsenal.

PS2 controller hardware

So far we connected the PS2 controller to an Arduino Nano using a breadboard. This isn't ideal to use in the field. We could create a shield, but instead we're going to directly solder the PS2 controller extension lead to a Pro Mini.

Below are the soldering points.

Pin 10 = SS (yellow)

Pin 11 = MOSI (orange)

Pin 12 = MISO (brown) + 1k pull-up

Pin 13 = SCLK (blue)

VCC = Power (red) + 1k pull-up

GND = Ground (black) + battery ground

RAW = Motors power (grey) + battery power

The clock pin cannot be accessed once the 1k pull-up is mounted, so we soldered it first. Also the battery wires were too large so we made a smaller gauge extension. I used a 5V Arduino Pro Mini, maybe I would have been better of with a 3.3V one.

Despite some questionable soldering technique it all works fine with the existing sketch.
