Anyway, belittling people who can't work/are physically and/or mentally disabled is wrong. Stop it.
Angry about your tax dollars? These people are not the problem. Billionaires avoiding taxes are. Stop attacking the disabled, the mentally ill, the addicted, the homeless, the single parents, etc when you should be attacking the wealthy who could literally end poverty (and fund free general health and mental health care) in the western world in less than a month. The whole world in less than a year.
"nobody owes you anything–" EVERYONE DESERVES the human right to live and not everyone can live by themselves. It's funny because many of you anti-welfare people wouldn't say that to a traumatized war veteran, right? So why is okay to say it to a traumatized person who grew up the victim of incestuous rape? Why is one trauma more deserving of support than another? "Being unable to work because you have PTSD after years of childhood trauma I can excuse as just an excuse, but I draw the line at veterans with PTSD!"
I have been happy to support moms, babies, veterans, the disabled and the mentally ill with my tax dollars. I'll be even happier when we stop playing the blame game amongst ourselves and go for the real problem: the billionaires who did not accumulate that wealth fairly, do not need that much money for one person/family anyway, and still go out of their way to avoid taxes.
Stop defending billionaires. Start defending the poor and oppressed.
