George is a Russell Brand and Andrew Tate fan, who thinks asylum seekers’ accommodation is “like Butlin’s”
Interested to find out what makes 23-year-old parish councillor (and new Big Brother Housemate) George tick, I did a little digging. It didn't take me long to find his Substack blog, and it took even less time for alarm bells to start ringing.
In a post from June this year, the Finchingfield Parish councillor explained why he thinks Gen Z is “chasing Christianity”:
Modern western cultural narratives as perpetrated in TV & Film or the education system for example increasingly play into the hands of women and often go as far as to criticise masculinity... One minute I’m told that I should be a provider, pay compliments and be chivalrous, the next I’m told that is toxic, degrading to women and obselete.
In the same post, he revealed an affinity for alleged sexual assaulter and far-right conspiracist Russell Brand:
Creators like Russel Brand catch our attention, reminding us of our history’s sacred side and enticing new audiences who would never previously have been drawn into religion of any sort, allowing us to delve where we otherwise had not, independently.
He also seems to be a fan of suspected rapist and human trafficker (and former BBUK ejectee) Andrew Tate:
What’s that? New Andrew Tate video has just dropped? Sorry guys, gotta go!
In March, he was ranting about “undocumented illegal immigrants” being housed at the former RAF Wethersfield airbase. The correct term, by the way, is “asylum seekers” – seeking asylum is not illegal – but George wasn't going to let silly technicalities like the law stop him!
The site also had large amounts of tax payer money thrown at it to help keep the new fit, healthy young men roaming around the airbase entertained while they lounge around. At the taxpayer's expense, our expense, accommodation blocks were installed, an on-site GP surgery, a dining hall providing three meals daily, a multi-faith centre, a gym, an indoor basketball court and a fleet of shuttle buses to give them free transport to nearby towns and cities Braintree and Chelmsford. Oh, and if that wasn't enough, they're also given spending money to indulge in. They are given all of these things for free, and we pay for it. It must be like Butlins in there.
What if the asylum seekers want to go for a walk, or feel like nipping to the shops and contributing to the local economy? George thinks that's unacceptable:
The Home Office demanded that this must not be a detaining facility, enabling the undocumented migrants who rocked up here from France (AKA ‘asylum seekers’) free reign to come and go as they please around the surrounding villages. They are required to return by 11pm, however we're told that in 2023 alone, 23 of them simply went missing and we're not allowed to know what they're up to now.
Sometimes, the young, fit, healthy men even have friends! Friends with hoodies, who look at poor, defenceless George with their illegal, undocumented eyes!
Picture it: Hundreds of military aged men plonked in the middle of a boring village with nothing to do? You're asking for trouble. Numerous times have I personally encountered groups of them on my dog walks, half a dozen of them or more, dressed in black, hoods up, shouting from one end of a road to another in their language, giving me eyeballs.
ITV, you've done it again.
