New Exhibition:
“Seeing Myself”
Oct 1 - 22 @ What Is Happening Here Gallery
Reguliersdwarsstraat 73, Amsterdam
Megan McIsaac’s “Seeing Myself” is a series of intimate, mostly unedited photographs, throughout a span of more than 15 years, that focus on making self portraits as a spiritual practice, a way of checking in with yourself.
Megan’s early work, shared on Flickr and Tumblr, had a lasting impact on many artists who followed. Her delicately powerful self-portraiture and bold, open approach to sharing her work and life shaped the emerging social media landscape in ways that still resonate with how young photographers present themselves online today.
