Lessons I Need To Learn (Part 1 of MANY)
Visiting and ordering things from the Urban Outfitters online sale at least once a week is something only rich people can do, and I am most certainly not a rich person
Eating chocolate once a day is neither healthy nor sensible
Running out of TV shows to watch is probably a sign I should do something productive (i.e. reading, taking photos, studying for my medical degree), as opposed to wikipedia-ing every film in 2011/2012 and trying to watch them instead
Further to the previous point, categorising online recipes into folders is not a productive activity, and I am borderline delusional if I think it is
Stop reading the Daily Mail online. Even if its celebrity news is great, it is still a racist newspaper, and I belong to an ethnic minority.
Stop manically reblogging pictures of Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield, and focus on producing a blog you can be proud of. Okay, maybe just decrease the manic reblogging.
2011: A Summary
I've not been as good at keeping up with this blog recently due to the fact that I only had two weeks off for Christmas, most of which was taken up by cramming for my first official exam as a medical student. If I had more time, I guess I would have written more about 2011 and how insane this year was on every level but I'm spending NYE with my best friend who's due to come over very soon. So with that in mind, I'll say that 2011 was the best year of my life so far (which doesn't count for that much seeing as I'm only 18, but I guess it's a good start):
I turned 18
I left the secondary school that I'd been at for seven years, that shaped me as a person and gave me the most amazing group of best friends in the world
I did my final set of compulsory exams (& passed them!)
I had the best & longest summer of my life, and went to Barcelona with four of the greatest girls I've ever met
I became part of a medical school in London, and fell in love with both my course and the city
I gained a whole new set of best friends (and became involved with one of them. I'm including this purely for my best friend Zina, who says I need to accept my love life and not live in denial.)
I don't think this year could have gone much better if it had tried. I'm excited for 2012 to kick 2011's butt though. Happy New Year!
