Hello! Can you explain the pros and cons of covering a bird at night? I noticed in one of your videos that you don't cover them when theyre sleeping. Is that because they have their own secluded room? Thanks!
largely whether it’s good or not is specific on the bird and living situation. Some birds have night terrors because of seeing lights outside windows without the sheet, some get night terrors from hearing things but not being able to see them under the cover. Some can’t sleep with them because they can’t see their surroundings, some can’t sleep without them because they can see people shifting around at night.
Some households stay up near the birds past bed time and need the sheet to get proper amounts of sleep, some households have a separate quiet room for the bird so the sheet may not be needed. Some households get extremely cold at night and may need it to maintain temperature, some households may get far too hot at night and need it left off to allow for airflow.
there’s not really a solid right or wrong or pros and cons in this case it’s just dependent on what’s best for each bird in each specific scenario.
