I do feel like I've gone a bit mad, but I spent all day yesterday researching and renaming each world after their real life counterpart, and have just rearranged the world icon order (my screen is usually 5 per row, I've just zoomed out the UI for this pic)

Bearing in mind my savefile corrupts everytime i get close to finishing it (it reaches over 100,000KB then dies), i have decided to make a realistic, aesthetic savefile, that is also heavy on occult lore ?

now if only i could replace each icon in an aesthetically pleasing gradient

How I start studying:

After procrastinating for idk, about three hours, make a cup of coffee. Drink that reaaaal slow while procrastinating some more. 

About an hour later, make another cup of coffee. Spray some rose water on your face and promise yourself that now you’re gonna turn all of this around.

Drink half of that cup of coffee while STILL procrastinating. Start panicking about how you haven’t done anything. This is also the step of bargaining; “surely you can do 6 hours worth of work in 2 hours if you really try, right? r i g h t??”  Procrastinate some more in the false pretence of “calming yourself down”

That didn’t make you any more calm, now you’ve just watched memes and acquired acceptance towards the inevitable doom. 

So here’s where things get interesting, ‘cause you have 2 ways this could go down:

1. Actually start studying, finally, yes you’re doing it. Why didn’t you start sooner oh god, you’re so behind on everything. o h  n o

2. mental breakdown, the depth of it depends on the day. The level goes from “one single tear rolling slowly down your cheek” to “ugly crying on the floor cause you can’t get yourself up, you might also die, or at least that’s what you’re feeling”. From this, it’s either studying like 1 chapter which takes 4 hours or doing nothing for the rest of the day

tips for not procrastinating?

oh baby i wish i knew. 

hahaha but seriously! 

- make a list of everything you have that week. due dates for papers and homework, anything that you have to get done!

- break that down into everything you need to do every day to accomplish everything! one cool method for this is called the ivy league method. what you do is write down 6 things you have to get done that day, in order of importance. start with the most important and work your way down, only focusing on one thing at a time! whatever you don’t get done that day, move those things to the top of your list for the next day! of course, you don’t have to do them in the order on your list, but that’s the general idea. 

- once you have everything sorted out, make yourself do the first five minutes of each assignment/task. of course, you want to finish whatever it is you’re doing, but if you don’t feel motivated, at least make yourself work on it for 5 minutes! typically, once you’ve worked for five minutes, you’ll feel motivated to actually finish it. but if not, hey! that’s 5 more minutes of work on the task that you hadn’t done yet! 

- this one is sort of silly but i do it: scare tactic. i scare myself into doing my work. i know how horrible it will be the night before the paper is due, crying over the book and typing incoherent sentences. i use that fear to make myself work on my stuff early!

I’m procrastinating sending an email to a therapist i want to book an appointment with. I know i need it but i’ve had such bad experiences with sketchy psychologist. One almost fell asleep during a session. But the one i want to book an appointment with works at a special sort of institute that seems serious and that my psychiatrist recommended so i hope it will go well. I should really just book an appointment instead of putting it off.

i've been doomscrolling tumblr. That's a way of procrastinating that in my mind doesn't feel like it since it's on my computer and that i'm sitting at my desk.

i should probably either move my ass and study or go to bed.

15 pages and i'm only a quarter through, that's not a very motivating thought.
