Monomachus and Vanhornia approved. 👍🏼
Monomachus on left, Vanhornia on right!
Woo! Halfway done! Heck yeah! I'm quite intrigued to see how it will look completely finished. Definitely making some progress. I will also have a separate numbered page with the names so people can correspond them with the right wasp. Stay tuned!
Some of you were quite intrigued by my wasp illustrations from the meme I made, and were wanting to know the names of each one. I decided to add the chart with names included for a better understanding. If anyone wants to know more about one in particular, drop a comment in the comment section and I'd be happy to share more info!
Pelecinus polyturator. This wasp in is my top five favourites!
Pelecinus *pool*yturator.
Pelecinus polyturator. 🖤 Probably in my top 5 favourite Hymenopterans along with Tremex columba. They are parasitoids of Phyllophaga larvae. Female populations further North are known to be parthenogenetic as males are rare. Males are more common as you go South, however.
