"Kiss me."
"As you wish."
"How lucky can they be? They're dead."
"Trust me. There are worse fates than death."
headcanon; Day remembers bits and pieces of June even without therapy, but compared to the rest of his life, they're so amazing he thinks they're just fragments of dreams.
"Just let it be, maybe things are better this way."
"June, no. Don't you say that. It's not better like this. Don't you dare. We--We were supposed to finally be happy, remember? We're supposed to finish this and be done with the Republic, the Colonies, the Patriots. You can't die on me June." Day's voice cracked. If June died, he was on his own again. Sure, he had Eden, but it wasn't the same. "You hear me? You're not dying. We'll get you to a hospital."

"No, no! This has to be a mistake!" Day couldn't believe that he had failed his Trials. It couldn't be possible. Now they were carting him off to God-knows-where for some sort of torture. He didn't even get to say goodbye to his family. Tears burned in his eyes as he was roughly dragged away from the crowds, shoved brutally towards his next location.
Day was speechless. He opened his mouth to protest further, but he had no words. He had failed. He would never see anyone he knew again. His mother--she must be so disappointed. He didn't even notice as the guards shoved Day into a heavily padded cell somewhere underground. He'd been so shell-shocked he hadn't even kept track of where they had taken him.
The doors slammed shut and Day launched himself against them furiously. "Please!" He begged, knowing full well that it was useless. "Let me out! Let me do it again!" He pounded until his hands cramped up. They would have been bleeding if it weren't for the soft material that encased the entire cell. It was no larger than his bedroom back home, perhaps 10 by 10, Day assumed, analyzing the space. None of this made any sense.

Day was annoyed. This was his hunt. Not some whiny little twat--who was quite attractive, but that was besides the point--who thought that she was better than him. "Look, cousin," he narrowed his eyes dangerously. "I was here first, and I work alone." He wasn't about to tell her his motives, that this hunt may take him a step closer to curing Eden.
"So kindly leave." His voice was basically a growl, ice-blue eyes cold as glass. He ran a hand through his white-blonde hair in an irritated fashion, seeing that she had no plans of leaving. "Goodbye." He pulled back the hammer on his gun, walking towards the house, ready to shoot. He needed to corner this ghost and talk to it. Supposedly it had died of something similar to what Eden had.

“Oh, please; I thought you were stronger than this. Guess I assumed wrong.
---Ω "Oh come on, June. You know that's not true. I'm at least your equal if not better," Kevin teased.
