Liza is probably one of the very few people I run who at least understands having a sort of slavish devotion to duty - although her motivations for it are different than Zelgius’. She’s also going to have a harder time judging him for his actions than someone else, on account of her having also done or been on the same side as people doing real questionable shit.
That said, it probably stops at a professional level of courtesy and some mild sympathy. She can’t really relate to the more nihilistic parts of his views, and she’s committed to someone else anyway.
Mia likes a challenge, but she’s scared of the Black Knight. At one point I wrote a fic which is...somewhere...where Mia tries to fight BK during one of his various appearances in Radiant Dawn before the Tower of Judgement, and it goes pretty poorly for her.
Considering I always write her as using Alondite after him there might be some curiosity there regarding if she can beat him now that they’re on equal ground in the gear department. But for the most part she was left pretty damn scarred by the prior encounter, and that aside considering her confusing (one-sided or not) feelings for Ike she’s going to be antagonistic to him at best.
Ced is one of those people that I’d give decent odds of being able to take Zelgius at least. Dude’s absolutely ridiculous both in game and in spinoff media, one of the manga lets him fly under his own power and just dismantle an entire wyvern rider platoon by basically snapping his fingers.
So with the whole intimidation factor gone, where does that leave them? He gets how Zelgius can be harsh on himself, even if he disagrees with what he does. They could probably be something vaguely resembling friends if Ced either never finds out or gets justification for his various more heinous actions.
Considering I have him befriending Ishtar in her survives au, he’s not going to hold too much of that against him.
Hoo, boy. Once she finds out the extent of what Zelgius used Alondite for she is going to be so disappointed and probably really, really angry. Violence might ensue.
I mean, don’t worry, Sephiran is in for it as well.
Constance is used to the disgrace and shame that could get thrown at Zelgius, but she’s also going to look on him with an equal or greater amount of scorn. Well, more scorn than she uses for people she doesn’t know in the first place.
She doesn’t really like people that let themselves get ground down and used by others in the face of adversity. Since she puts so much importance on striding forward and improving herself/her house, watching Zelgius just get used as kind of a tool by Sephiran would be actively repulsive to her in a lot of ways. She has a hard time picturing anything that could be lower than that.
