“So, uh...hey, boss.”

Mia didn’t really know what else to say at this point, sitting down awkwardly next to him on the bench. She knew they were all pressed for time in this damned tower - remembering with a wince that so many people she cared about were outside fighting to buy them more time - but after the confrontation with Sephiran the healers had put their feet down. They needed to check everyone over, which meant they needed a pause. Seeing Ike alone with both Ragnell and Alondite so deep in thought snapped her out of her own impatient funk, remembering just what he’d had to do - what, half an hour ago?

Somebody should talk to him about that. But Titania and Soren were handling the defense outside the tower, Mist was busy, and...well, she was never any good at this kind of thing, but she figured someone had to make the effort. Hesitantly she slid a little closer, glancing around the stone room and trying not to stare at the giant, intricate doors that led to...well, Asherah. She had been trying to get used to that part, but it had never quite stuck in her mind yet. 

“Cool swords.” She said after a few moments, desperate to find something, anything to say to get the conversation started. She knew almost immediately that was the wrong choice and groaned, sinking her head into one hand before restarting. “I mean...do you wanna talk about that? Or the Sephiran thing, or just this mess in general? You seem pretty out of it.”
