Summary: Daisuke choses DNA for his evaluation song and gets picked to be in group 1. [EPISODE 3]

“Tanaka-Kun, please go select your song!” Ninety-Nine announced. A few hands gripped Daisuke’s shoulders in silent support as he headed towards the selection table.
For Daisuke, the question was simple. He wanted, no, needed to perform DNA. Pushing aside the fact that he is a huge BTS fan, he was already familiar with the DNA choreography and the style of kpop dances as a whole. He wanted to start off this competition on a strong foot by sticking to what he knew best.
He selected the DNA ticket, smiling brightly to the camera before heading back towards the waiting area. Both Yugo and Ren were waiting already, stepping back away from the roped off lines so it was impossible for Daisuke to tell what team they were apart of.
“What did you pick, Dai-chan?” Ren called out once he saw his friend round the corner. Daisuke pressed the ticket to his stomach, hiding the title.
“Show me and I’ll show you.” Daisuke bargained. The three boys circled up. Yugo counted down for them.
“One, two,” Yugo flipped his paper over at the same time as the others. Both Yugo and Ren’s tickets said “Highlight”.
“No!” Daisuke said a little too loudly as he fell to his knees. He had been hoping to be on the same team as Ren. The staff members motioned for him to be quiet, giving Daisuke a stern look.
“It’s okay, at least we aren’t direct competitors now.” Ren wrapped an arm around Daisuke’s shoulders as the trio walked over to their designated lines.

“And... Daisuke-Kun.” Mamechan finally concluded his lineup. Daisuke grinned and sprung up, practically skipping his way to the line of trainees that Mame has selected. Heecheon and Takumi patted Daisuke’s back and shoulders as he stood in line next to them. Togo squeezed his arms around Daisuke in a quick hug before patting his back. Daisuke couldn’t hide his smile even if he tried. He was very pleased that he was on a team with such strong dancers and prominent members.
After the teams were selected, it was time for the first practice.
