it’s my last friday indoors! just a few more days ‘til i can finally go around tokyo again, but also a few more days before i start my new job 😩 just trying to make the most out of being indoors by working on my driver’s permit + other things 🤍

hiiii, I love your blog. I also really like Japan 🇯🇵. I was wondering how did you get a job in Japan? I’m an accounting and finance major but I’ve studying Japanese since high school. I’d love to go to Japan one day and am now exploring ways to go there maybe for work? Thank uuuu ^^

Hi, thanks so much for your message! Really appreciate it 🌸 I came to Japan right after university (and a short stint in publishing lol), and I entered the country as a student! I studied Business Japanese and finished my N1 classes. I also took up part-time work in the marketing industry while studying.

I would say that it really helps to work on your Japanese (try getting at least N2 certification or take the Business Japanese Test), it's a huge plus for when recruiters and companies look at your profile!

There's always a need for native English speakers in any industry in Japan, but being able to communicate in Japanese fluently would be what sets you apart from the rest of the foreign workers in Japan who are in the same industry as you. 😊 Good luck!
