Bandai Japan Promotes Future Creation Project Aimed at Delivering Toys to Children in Disaster-Stricken Areas of Taito
The Future Creation project is a sustainability project that supports children during disasters and provides toys to them to give children peace of mind, and provide mental health care to children. Bandai Japan has donated original toys designed and manufactured with the aim of providing emotional care to children in disasters-stricken areas of Taito Ward, Tokyo, where Bandai’s HQ is located.
These toys were donated to Save the Children Japan, an international organization specializing in child support. In addition to the donation, a presentation was held at Taito Ward Office on Monday, December 11th, 2023. Pictured above is both Taito-kun, Taito City tourism PR character, Mayor Hattori, and Bandai’s sustainability officer, Fujita, and of course Mametchi!
Bandai has also created a new character for this, "Disaster Prevention Navigator Character", an original character created to support children, "Otodo! CoroCoro Powers!", will act as a "talking partner" and "companion" for children during evacuation life.
Bandai will continue to utilize the know-how gained through many years of toy planning and manufacturing to support local governments and disaster evacuation centers in order to help children who are exposed to anxiety and hardship due to unexpected disasters regain their smiles as quickly as possible.
