FINALLY sharing the first official character sheet for my upcoming webnovel project!

AKA here's one of my OCs~ Rigel Birch is an elven warrior marked by a rare curse after he got scarred, with a tattoo over it tied to his constellation. I still haven’t finalized the tattoo, but it will sit over his scar. Oh! and the tattoo itself has magical properties

Hailing from the elven land of Tel’Narir, a nation devoted to the study of the stars, Rigel’s name actually comes from the Orion constellation!

He also has a twin sister named Betelgeuse, whom he affectionately(?) calls “Goose.”

Meet Eris, who teaches Magical Beast Care & Handling

Former circus performer, from the mana-rich, divided land of Mirevko—excellent with animals, and rumored to be able to talk to chickens.

Her outfit is inspired by traditional dirndl silhouettes, but the corset has more structure + included a bit more steampunk into it (subtley!) so she fits in with the rest of the cast

She loves her friends so yes she embroidered her friends as chickens

Anyway, annotated the sheet because she has too many details not to explain, ENJOY --

Writing for the Vel Sanctum arc (webnovel prequel) will continue after I finish this art trade

VS arc's MC is already in the hands of a character design artist, meanwhile I already have the bones for it. Hopefully, I can publish this thing before March. I hope to post some progress here about it as well! So just to clarify, since I'm writing... well, a lot of things:

TSS or Through the Shadows of Shame is a longfic that I consider to be "Draft 0" of my actual main webnovel. This one's a fanfic, though I'm not prioritizing this as much this year due to... PAHG or my main webnovel, which is sorta kinda based on TSS but not really. TSS is where I practice certain things but is definitely not just a derivative of it—PAHG has way more worldbuilding and lore, and since I own all the characters here I can flesh out their backstories and personalities further. VS or Vel Sanctum (to be renamed, probably) is a prequel of sorts to PAHG, it's set in Vel Sanctum which is one of the nations in PAHG. Same universe, set a handful (maybe 10?) years earlier than the events of the main webnovel. I am writing the Vel Sanctum arc as an entry to a writing contest, and will be prioritizing that for now~ That being said, I do think that anytime I write for any of these—or anytime I write at all—it benefits all the other projects 💖 Doing the VS arc helped me lock in certain things about the magic system that I couldn't do thinking about PAHG because the world is so vast that it can be overwhelming. Speaking of magic system, perhaps one of these days I can talk about the two types of magic systems in the world, namely the Elemental Magic System and the Card Magic System.
