Meet Professor Sera! Professor of Magitech Engineering. Former pirate captain.
Prosthetic leg was inspired by lighthouses! I found it very cool, since she was a pirate I took inspiration from that + the Fresnel lens is so pretty so I wanted that in there. I'm particularly proud of that one since she I knew I wanted her to have a prosthetic but couldn't settle with what design until it just came to me one day lol

Sera, like everyone in the gang, has her own character arc. Whether or not I get to explore that in the webnovel remains to be unknown (nothing is canon until I hit publish) but I do love her backstory.
She comes from the nation of Maraveña (Ma-ra-VEH-nya), and her backstory sheds more light into how and why she became a pirate before she taught in the academy.
Speaking of Academy, she wears a lace cover up across her chest when teaching but she prefers to be without it. Even the choice of the lace was taken from some historical vintage lace pattern around the Victorian era, which the series' aesthetics and world is inspired by (though it does not inform the world's morals, hence why Sera can wear things like that, or even how Ava can wear short skirts and it doesn't look super out of place, but i'm getting ahead of myself)
