Topi’s Daily Card #1186: Profane Command
All of the commands from Lorwyn are strong and worthy of respect in EDH, and Profane Command is probably one of the most powerful next to cryptic. You get to choose how powerful this spell is, meaning it’s really flexible in how it’s implemented. It’s a burn spell, it’s a creature kill spell, it’s a recursion spell, and of course it’s an evasion spell. When both of your opponents are low and you have the mana from perhaps something like Cabal Coffers, it’d be pretty easy to kill an opponent with one spell, and give all your creatures with fear to get in there and win in an alpha strike. That’s just one example of course, but it shows how much power this simple X spell has. Whichever mode you need to finish out a game and you have the mana to do it, Profane Command will be there.

Arbitrary Card of the Day 11-20-17: Profane Command
Today's arbitrary card of the day is Profane Command. I love this card in Commander. I'm often casting it to kill a creature and reanimate one of my own, but being able to go to the face or make an army nearly unblockable are also useful abilities. There's always a useful mode on this card.
