Also the New World II trailer was interesting.
The editing choices especially were interesting.
The lack of any background music or anything at all was the *most* interesting.
Like...I *get* it. Sure, let's drill it into the fucking ground how somber everything is, because when you remove music as a backing track everything gets 200% more serious and lends a sense of discomfort to the viewer. But was it necessary to do that to viewers who are already guaranteed to be bawling their fucking eyes out when they watch this? Why the double, no TRIPLE, punch?
And leaving all footage of Atsushi at the end. Ok, fine. He is the only one of the five showing any discernable joy in all this solemnity, with Yuta getting an honorable mention for vibing so beautifully at rehearsal and being a little playful on stage.
Idk all my comments, and dare I say complaints, are professional ones. Who edited this. Did the band tell them to edit it together this way? Show me in writing where Imai, who is doing his damnedest to almost single-handedly uplift the mood of not just the band but millions of distraught fans, ASKED you to put this docufilm together this way- I want to see it in writing. Because I honestly can't believe they actively picked such a tone.
I hope to god that it's just this teaser and that the whole thing isn't going to be like this, because if it is, it is going to be one excruciatingly long and unnecessarily painful viewing.
am making a massive doc of yearly goals, monthly goals, and – is it futile to set up weekly goals? will I ever look at this doc again? is this a useful way to spend my afternoon? it's a lot of change to enact at once upon my chaos of a life but so far things just feel Possible and I am following this feeling
typos are literally going to be my end

@magicalled asked: How does your muse flirt? For Varric & Evie
SINDAY MEME // ACCEPTING
A more apt question for Varric might be ‘how does he not flirt’?
I mean, come on. Guy walks around with his shirt unbuttoned like, all the way down. Think he does it to air out his chest hair? He’s walking sex appeal!! He has this persona that’s very flirtatious, for all that he will rarely (or never) follow that flirtation through.
But the majority of that flirtation is through wordplay, innuendo, and flirtatious teasing. Also, eyebrow waggling.
Evie, on the other hand, is actually not amazing at flirting! Who’s surprised?
People like her in spite of the fact that she’s impatient and headstrong and way too focused on esoteric knowledge and history. She does a terrible line in pretending to be coy, but is totally unable to keep it up because she’s got a very strong personality that she’d struggle to keep down.
She tries to flirt using wildly inappropriate history & archaeology facts, often gruesome. It’s interesting. Isn’t it interesting? Why do you look so horrified?
Honestly, she’s just lucky that her passion lights her up, her smile is beautiful, and there are people out there who find the whole thing endearing. Lookin’ at you, Rick ‘heart eyes’ O’Connell.
hm.
I’m not saying that I’ve been watching Christen Press’ goal on loop but...I’ve been watching Christen Press’ goal on loop.
