I got a 4 min long video of Kimchi dreaming today, so here's a clip

You get the whole walk cycle and the little sprint at the end.

Sometimes her sprints last for like 4 or 5 seconds and she can shoot herself off the couch or into a wall if she gets a grip with her back claws. If she does it next to a wall, her head smacking into it sounds like someone is trying to break into the house. She doesn't wake up.

Later in the dream she injured her paw and was limping, and earlier she caught something and ate it.

"Bulgasal" rewatch has me in a chokehold again, but I'm at the stage of the show where we are about to begin our final descent, and buddy it's gonna get REAL dark with no real exit here pretty soon, and I'm kind of dreading it lol.

Like just let Sang-un and Hwal make eyes at each other for a little longer- they can't remember a damn thing, but somehow they can't help but reach for each other. Let's just stay in that place a little longer, huh? Although the other end of the parade of misery, where they finally remember, is also very nice, but it's so shortlived. Ahhhhhhhhhhh 🙃🫠

Remember when joining fandom as a younger person meant lurking for a bit and figuring out the vibe and etiquette instead of coming in on day one and calling people weirdos for liking weirdo shit in the weirdo factory.

I had a dream I got to call an old friend of mine I've been trying to contact for awhile on the phone. I missed talking to him so I rambled a lot. And when I was finished, he said, "And so? No request for me?" To which I could only reply, "Well I want to see you again, obviously. We should see each other again." And then I woke up.

Sometimes you really don't understand the last time you'll ever see someone. You think for sure you'll hang out again, but the timing never arrives. And before you know it there's a whole continent and ocean and several almost uncountable years between the two of you.

It's crazy.

Life is crazy.

But instead of having nit-picky regrets about the past, I'd rather worry about doing things now and in the future. So I hope he somehow checks his old messages again. Let's hang out. Let's see each other again. That's my request. Dummy.

we gotta get back to torrent distribution, i just watched someone eat eight grand in bandwidth charges because they ran a direct-download piracy site with local file hosting through cloudflare. torrents were invented literally for this exact reason

torrents work like this

i have a file or folder on my pc that i want to share with other people. let's call it gayshit.mp3

unfortunately gayshit.mp3 is 750mb and im not paying for discord nitro so i need another way to send it

i put it into qbittorrent and it makes a torrent file. this is essentially a very small file that points to gayshit.mp3 so other computers can find it. kinda like a treasure map

i send this tiny file to my friend, who loads it into qbittorrent. their computer takes a moment to find mine over the vast expanse of cyberspace and then (as long as my pc is running and the file is still where it should be), it gets copied from my hard drive to theirs

this is the cool part: if somebody else loads that tiny file, they can download it from both of us. if i'm offline but my friend is on, the third person can still get it. this also means that if two people have separate halves of the file, they can download the other half from each other. as long as some combination of people have the pieces between them, they can all have the whole thing.

crucially this does not require a server!!! you can just upload the file to a few people and as long as they keep it, it's still accessible. as long as somebody, somewhere is still connected, it's available forever. the only way it goes away is if everybody disconnects from it.
