I’m not sure what you’ve read recently, but Lunar did a fic for soma week that’s really great and Silly is working on a soma week fic that’s also really fantastic if you haven’t read them, just off the top of my head. A mix of good and bad busy, but that’s better than nothing! The past few months have been a whirlwind of stuff (wedding, cross-country move, trying to figure out finances, lots of job applications, work, and just... general life stuff), so I really just wish I could have a nice break! But there have been good things within the busy frenzy, so I’ll take what I can get!

You’re an absolute sweetheart, as always. <3 Hopefully some time in the near future I’ll have a chance to work on something and bounce it off you! And if not, maybe I’ll try to dip my toes back into beta reading to be active in the SE fandom somehow at least! We’ll just have to see how it goes....

Omg I’m so sorry this reads like every bad soma fic ever

It hurts me deep in my soul every time I see awful fic like that for ANY fandom because it’s clearly just “hey, guy and girl character like each other, let’s mash their characters into unrecognizable goop to fit them into the mold of this trope.” It drives me crazy. What’s the point of writing for a certain ship if you aren’t going to actually preserve the characters themselves??

I have basically no free time lately but my need for wholesome cute content for these two is killing me to the point that I feel obligated to make it myself.

I can't remember if I've posted about this tbh. I really think it could go so many ways and since steinmarie wedding is probably more immediate I find it more interesting anyway lol

I sort of love the idea of everyone in the Group (tm) who gets married will have a different wedding than the others. Like, Soul and Maka have a traditional Death City, open casket wedding. And Stein and Marie have a Jewish wedding (because, dammit, I will power this STEIN IS JEWISH headcanon until I am dead). And Tsubaki and her partner have a traditionally Japanese wedding. And Black*Star has a Vegas wedding so he can be married to his left hand. And so on and so forth!
