Getting pregnant was not in the plan, She and Will had never talked about having kids, they really should have had this talk... Jemma doesn’t do well without a plan. Thankfully after nearly a half an hour of rambling and failing to do much other than worry and confuse Will, she finally told him and he was more than delighted.

Jemma hates “What To Expect When You’re Expecting”(it’s so unscientific!) and Will hates Ikea but they both are delighted by the brand new sunshine of their lives.

But remember how at the end of the mid-season finale when Coulson, Daisy, Mack and Fitz arrived at the Zephyr 1 Simmons didn’t go to Fitz, she went immediately to see if Will was in the pod and then she break down when she realized she would never see the man she loved again.

Okay so I wrote a thing... but I REALLY need a beta and have no idea who to ask because I don’t know a lot of people in this fandom. Anyone willing to Beta an odd Will/Jemma one shot?

When there was no sound of glass breaking Will was expecting the whoop of delight from the tiny scientist beside him, the one he fought very hard never to think of as his, but he was not expecting to find his arms full of her. Though she was a hugger so it shouldn’t have shocked him so much, it was easy to push away particularly after the spark that seemed to run right through him when her lips touched his. It was the excitement of the moment, he told himself as soon as he was able to form a single coherent thought. Excited happy people kissed other people all the time, he didn’t remember this ever happening to him before but his memories of how people acted around each other were vague and he knew it didn’t mean to her what he wished he could say it didn’t mean to him.

If you think about it the fact that Simmons was flirting with Trip and showed interest in him long after Fitz had confessed his romantic feelings for her is pretty telling, and sheds a lot of light on the “Simmons doesn’t know what she feels for Fitz” debate.

Just like Simmons being unable to say if she loves Fitz romantically or not over a year after Fitz brought up his feelings for the first time, yet blurting out she’s in love with Will literally seconds after Fitz asks her is pretty telling too.

Today while driving I realized that Trip/Jemma/Will should be called Funky Professor Flyboy and that makes me ship it even more.

ShitzSimmons shippers can rejoice in a good man’s death all they want but consider this:

Jemma had known Fitz for ages and had a whole season since Fitz confessed his romantic feelings to figure out what she felt for him and in the end she still didn’t have it clear, but she knew Will for a couple of months yet confronted with the question “Do you love him?” it only took her seconds to say YES (and she confessed her love for Will to the face of the last person she’d want to confess that, so she must have felt REALLY strong about being in love with Will).

Jemma ended up this half season in Fitz’s arms, sure, but it wasn’t shippy, she was crying about Will, because the man she loved didn’t return with Fitz and Coulson and she knew exactly what that meant.
