✦: Even though Alice is a prefect and, as such, she is supposed to be responsible and well behaved, the shy Ravenclaw makes her want to break the rules, if only a little, if it would help bring her out of her shell.
☮: Later on, when Frank and Alice begin dating, Alice goes to Sybill in a panic, as she is supposed to go out dancing with the boy and she doesn’t want to make a fool of herself. The two spend the whole night staying up and practicing, and Frank finds them asleep in a heap later when he goes to look for Alice after she fails to meet him for their date. The next time Alice asks Sybill to help her practice is the night before she weds Frank.
☁: As Alice was being cursed by Bellatrix, one of her final lucid thoughts was for her baby boy and how she hoped he’d be safe and that, maybe, Sybill would be the one to care for him, as she was sure she was about to die in those last few moments. She thought they could help each other grow. She finally gave herself over to the curse when she came to the peaceful conclusion that the Divination professor would be able to love her son in her stead.
