   He’s got to be kidding, right? As ... shitty as Atlas was before, this Atlas wasn’t like the old one. Strongfork wasn’t like those old guys so he has her trust. Whether that was a mistake or not would be found out in the future. He’s awkward, and has a very punchable face, but he’s doing his best to make that company better. But Katagawa Jr. was a whole ... ballgame of problems. Breaking into why and why not she wants to deal with his ass would take hours. Why does he think she would ever choose to side with the company currently pestering Atlas like it’s some crazed fanboy? Not to mention sending ships to Promethea to force a merger? Yeah, no.

Rhys Strongfork’s Atlas wasn’t the same as the one that screwed them over. Not to mention ... Maliwan’s great choice in friends. She wasn’t blind. He was buddying up with the Calypso twins.

“ -- amusing, really, but I think I’ll have to pass. You’re the Calypso’s business lapdog, aren’t you? We have a lot of conflicts in our interest sheets ... so I really don’t think this is going to work. ”

Why did Katagawa Jr. want her to have an alliance with Maliwan? Bragging rights and a Siren collection?

“Are you there, false siren god? It’s me, Katagawa.”

   “ -- what is it, Katagawa~? ” Is she exhausted? Is it way too early? Yes to both ... but the Siren’s sleepy voice can be heard through the ECHO -- maybe a bit mumbled because her face is smushed against her pillow, but at least she’s giving him the time of the day! There’s not a lot of people she would do this for, after all, and the list just keeps getting shorter. But even if she is making an exception for him, she doesn’t even want to open her eyes -- the screen on her ECHO is way too bright.

“ It’s like ... 5 am. I went to bed an hour ago and I might cry if this call lasts longer than an hour. Make it quick, please. ”

If it’s something stupid she’s hanging up -- she likes the guy, yeah, but a God Queen needs her beauty sleep. And she doesn’t want to look like shit during their livestream tomorrow.

not that she had to, the more kei had gone on and on about things, the more maya had gotten annoyed and found herself making the mimicked talking gestures with her hand behind his back when he wasn’t looking and rolling her eyes. or at least, she’d hoped that he wasn’t looking.

knowing her luck, though, he absolutely knew the entire time. because of course he did.

arms crossed over her chest as an indignant huff escaped pursed lips, eyes already starting to squint in annoyance all over again, voice lowering into a grumble under her breath.

Ji-Woon spent most of his time in his childhood working at his family’s  restaurant or at the classes his father put him in, so to say he didn’t have a lot of time to just be a kid would be a understatement.

Though Ji-Woon did enjoy putting on shows at his family’s restaurant along with learning to sing and dance it did seem like he couldn’t really do anything else without his family getting mad at him since his displays brought in the family money, which was quite a bit of pressure at a young age.

     Tilting his head to the side, it takes Rhys a moment to register what the other said. Then, he rolls his eyes, grinning.

          “That would be nice and all, but I don’t know how the hell I’d be able to sing my VERY important A-B-C’s with the letters scrambled up like that. Plus, the tune would be off as well.” Chuckling to himself, he shoves his hands into his pockets.

          “Besides, R-H-Y-S doesn’t have the same ring to it.`

     The sheer surprise that draws onto Link’s face when this tall guy that he only knows because of a sword fight says... THAT is almost comical. Brows raised with eyes wide open and mouth ajar, the silent knight is propelled to... well, SPEAK.

          “What? I... SURELY you’re just--” His cheeks flush pink and he lifts his hand up to scratch the back of his head, a soft, nervous chuckle escaping him. “Ahhh... well, I--” chewing on his bottom lip, the hylian decides to answer bluntly, a small smile tugging at his lips.

          “I’m well-versed in the use of spears and longswords as well, this is only the... BEST sword in my collection.” He flips the Master sword around and returns it to the scabbard that rests across his back, only to retrieve another weapon which... doesn’t look too deadly at all at first, only a long, rounded piece of equipment-- at most, a club. That is until suddenly, huge teeth made of bright blue energy pop out from the thing, creating none other than a massive chainsaw blade in this tiny man’s hand. Only seconds later do the teeth start to rotate as well, and Link now has a big smile on his face.

         “How’s that?”

     Lately, there’s been a lot less time that Rhys has been keeping to himself. Not that he ever did much but work in his “me” time, but he’s not quite sure how exactly he feels about it just yet. He’d only just started dating Kei and already he spends more time with him than he’s probably ever spent with anyone he didn’t live with. Rhys hasn’t felt really close to anyone in a long time and now his heart aches dully whenever he thinks about the man and they aren’t together. Sometimes he gets annoyed, of course, but for the most part... he’s all in. It’s odd, really... having to teach himself that he can tell him things, and the feeling of being loved by anyone but family is strange and new.

     This is one of those days that he’s giving away his free time to the man he’s come to realize that he loves very dearly. He’s feeling rather emotional and affectionate today, so he wanted to give him a surprise visit at work ( hoping he doesn’t interrupt anything CRAZY ). Rhys directs an awkward wave at Kei’s secretary before pushing open the doors to his office, eye lighting up as he quickly scans everything in the room ( habit ) before going further.

          “Kei!” He calls out and then there he comes-- Rhys can’t help but giggle like a schoolgirl and open his arms wide for his boyfriend to all but collide with him. Immediately, he closes his arms around him and squeezes tightly, his chest blossoming with a warmth that he still barely understands but knows as being related to the fact that he’s very much in love. After a second, he peels Kei off him using mostly his right arm and then both hands move to cup his face. “Hello, beautiful.~” He muses softly before trailing his right hand down under his chin to lift his face slightly so he can kiss him.
