❝ this tale is still unwritten ❘ Sabrina Lee & Jaebeom Park ❞
This was it.
She could hear the crowd chanting and the lights flickering, enchanted by one of the members. Sabrina forced a smile at them, as she looked down at her own bass, playing with the chords as if they were out of tune.
It was supposed to be something good for them, some kind of graduation, of growing up speech that muggles used to tell others all the time, but she felt drained, everything held that sense of dullness and the pit of her stomach dropped every time they called her name.
The group went to the stage for one last time and even though Sabrina smiled, making eye contact with the fans in the first rows, it didn't reach her eyes, the songs tasted unfamiliar as she sang her lines, as if they belonged to someone else, as if the verses written by her didn't come from her own feelings, her own experiences.
It was their last concert, the last time they would be enchanting the wizard community with their songs and charms, the last time the four of them would be there on a stage. She wanted to call her groupmates selfish for having their personal lives, but she would be the selfish one, she would be the one that never let someone get close to her, enough to create strong bonds that were wroth keeping.
Music was her only love and she should have seen it coming.
After all, she was a seer.
But Sabrina never saw it, she got herself blinded to the truth that was so obvious.
Everybody would leave. Sooner or later.
"Thank you! This is not the last time you'll see us!", she screamed to the crowd, the blatant lie hanging in the air, tasting disgustingly like sand as the four of them vanished in the thin air, by magic.
It was only when she was backstage and her soon to be former manager told them they would be getting some lucky fans backstage, she realized the grip on her bass was so tight, her fingertips were red, almost bleeding.
“You have two fans, Sabrina, it’s not gonna take too long.” she ignored him and just shrugged. It didn’t matter, it was still going to be painful.
One last time. She needed to endure.
