Inuyasha
One of my favorite things about this show is just how long it is because despite my initial frustration it made the experience so intense. I was genuinely sucked into that show unlike anything I had ever watched before. The beginning of the anime perfectly captured the feeling of slipping into the past alongside mc. My favorite shot is that first time she ever lays her eyes on him while he's stuck to that tree - perfectly serene in his expression with the wind delicately swaying his hair as if to invite her for a closer look. It was magical.
I remember watching the show and feeling like I'm stuck in a fever dream because I kept getting impatient about the plot dragging on but needing to know exactly what happens next. I genuinely can't remember if I even watched it all the way through but for some reason it feels like time stopped in that moment when I did. Maybe this year I will finally revisit it fully and remember how it felt to be envelopped by the story so deeply.
