FINAL PREDICITON: The Pittsburgh Steelers are the tougher team, but are looking for experienced Seattle team to open up the passing game with a healthy dose of Shaun Alexander. Childbirth DVD Review: Laugh and Learn About Children's

If you can not make it a childbirth class, or would you just want to learn about birth from the comfort of your sofa, can laugh and learn if children could be just what you're looking for. I was scheduled to attend a 4-week childbirth class at my hospital when I was suddenly out of bed-rest for the remainder of my pregnancy. Since I had planned for a drug-free birth, I was anxious to find a DVD that would be a suitable replacement for the class I had signed up for. After some hunting around on the internet, I came over, laughing and learning about children and decided to buy it. DVD four and a half hours long, and has been divided into segments that are around 45 minutes. Each segment is a continuation of a childbirth class, host Sheri Bayles, a registered nurse and lactation consultant. The division into segments is very useful to view a lesson at a time, or if you need to go back and watch only one segment and not want to hunt through the whole DVD to find it. Sheri seems very knowledgeable, and are very careful in all their statements. She covers the basics, assuming you never been there before, and explains what is happening and why in layman's terms, so you do not get caught up in medical jargon. She begins with anatomy, which is useful for all male partners who may not fully understand how and where each part, and then cover the signs of labor, dilation, effacement, and the actual birth.Medications used for pain relief or enhancement (induction) of workers are also covered in the DVD, including their side effects, so that you are well educated about your choices to go into the process. C-sections also discussed, so that if you choose to have one, or a c-Secton be medically necessary, you know what to expect before, during and after process.At end of the DVD, the people in the class has a reunion, and all but a few show up, and you'll see the results of each of these pregnancies - the beautiful babies. There are only two drawbacks to this DVD. The first is that there is a section dedicated solely to umbilical cord blood bank, which seems to be heavily sponsored by Viacord, since this is the only cord blood bank that she recommends. If you do not plan to bank cord blood, can not afford it, or you're with a company other than Viacord, you can choose to skip this section as they will not really apply to you. He Man / She-Ra Christmas Special

Over the years, cartoons have the raw material for some very touching themes. The 1980s (and earlier) were less politically correct time for the Company and may be as such for Christmas celebrated by our beloved characters. While perhaps the most famous of these features is the Charlie Brown Christmas, He-Man & She-Ra to offer together in 1985 to 45 minutes, pure holiday pleasure. The property includes the ever-mischievous Orko stowing aboard Man-at-Arms spy satellites and launch it into space accidentally. And unlike the Charlie Brown special mention, the He-Man She-Ra Christmas Special actually has less do with the holiday itself and more to do with infidelity kidnapping, which begin Hordak and Skeletor to compete with each other, deserve respect, Horde Prime. Also, as already mentioned, the running time for the feature about 45 minutes (about 2 standard episodes back to back). Do not mistake that for an excuse to overlook this little gem, as it really is a piece to anyone BCI intregal Universe / Masters of the collection. As always with BCI, the love for detail is unmatched in the packaging. While only a single disc, the package comes with a nice slip cover with a beautifully decorated tri-fold inner sleeve. The book is back in full color and is loaded with cool facts and history, and again slipped BCI 2 collector art cards in the package: this time of comic artist Phil Jimenez and David Mack. If all this is not enough to record this gem, be sure the special features included on this CD. BCI again just raised the bar on what possible held in respect of the separation behind the scenes light on the whole creative process in the assembly of the He-Man / She-Ra's legacy. This time we are treated to two brand-new documentaries (such as BCI tracked down all the people involved is really a documentary earned itself). The first, Holidays and Morals of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is an excellent series of interviews with the show writers, artists and producers on the issues and lessons packed into each program and how the tradition started. The second piece (my favorite of the two) is the hero and villain from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe right. This time we hear from the same motley crew in the first property only now they get their favorite heroes and villains, and what moved them. Combining the two functions actually trump the term of the function presentation (70 minutes). Very interesting stuff! Finally, fans are treated to the usual bag of treats that BCI has the reputation of being purchased on their collections: A previously unreleased music video "I have the power," a montage of moral-show day at the closing event of the individual, character profiles , trivia and fun facts, and the complete Christmas special script on DVD-ROM. Another nice little collection of a company that leaves no stone unturned when it comes to the He-Man universe.

I teach in a school district using Accelerated Reader. It's wonderful! I'll explain a bit about how we use at our school, and other forms that can be used. Accelerated Reader is an excellent program that helps raise the reading levels of students over a year. In this program, students must read assigned amount of time each day. Before students begin the program must be tested to determine their reading levels. This program is called STAR. Each student will be assigned a target level of about nine weeks (or at any interval set by the school district) that he or she should be able to achieve. One of the book also level objectives should be set according to the average student's reading range.During AR, students choose and read books that are reading level. After a student has finished reading a book, he or she will have an AR test on the computer, it will ask comprehension about the book. Each book has a point value. After taking an exam, students will receive points that correspond to the percentage of correct answers on the test. For example, if a student answers correctly 80% of the comprehension questions in a book that is worth four points, the student will receive 3.2 points. Then at the end of the qualifying period, all points are compiled.There three components that can be used to determine the final AR grade each nine weeks. This grade may have many different ways.
