I liked the instrumentation, but it had one thing I don’t like about metal—the death metal growl. I am usefully refining my selection criteria slash mental algorithm though! Thank you! Hi, I’m a big Rush fan myself, and I’m wondering if you like any other progressive rock/prog-adjacent bands? Rush was what first got me into prog as a wider genre btw.

have you heard of this band called pink floyd. ummmmm I generally like newer stuff when it comes to prog, I’m a big porcupine tree fan even though I find steven wilson tiresome as a person; I like king crimson even though I find everyone who has ever played with them tiresome as people; I like 80s genesis more than the 70s stuff don’t kill me; I REALLY LIKE TOOL!!!! IM A TOOL!!!! you should listen to the band the ocean if you like heavier prog, they lean post metal but very proggy. I like leprous… I like prog metal as you can tell. king gizzard when they’re being proggy. between the buried and me. other bands of that ilk!
