Good Artists Copy; Great Artists Steal
Picasso originally coined this, but being a Steve Jobs Fanboy, I remember this quote the most from him.
I really like this quote. Apple, for example, has always been reckless with "stealing" other people's/company's ideas and strategies and has been able to execute them effortlessly.
This concept seems to be very prolific in tech more than in any other space. So many companies are spins on other companies ideas or products, or take influence from product x to add value to product y.
Some times it's not what you know, but what you can steal.
