Erebor - Infinitus Somnium

Progressive Death Metal from Durham, England, UK

Originally formed in late 2013, EREBOR conjures a unique, distinct blend of progressive death metal. Over the years, they solidified their position as one of the fastest, most technical bands in the burgeoning UK metal scene. However, with their sophomore release, EREBOR decided to go down a different route. Their technical prowess now established, the band's efforts focused instead towards building melody and atmosphere, while also eschewing the shorter song structures that they had been known to work within. The result of this effort is Infinitus Somnium, a watershed release for the band. One that redefines their sound from one steeped in American tech-death, to something unique unto itself. Clocking in at 43 minutes, the three songs that comprise this album detail the path to the divine, and easily stand as the most progressive, melodic, and dynamic in our catalogue. A huge amount of effort was put into every note, every chord progression, every drum fill, and every lyric. We couldn't be more proud of the final result.
