PROJECT ny July 17-19
DIADORA ss24
Day Two and no better way to kick it off than with the Benson NY Coffee Bar serving up some fresh lattes and Americanos from La Colombe Coffee. Honestly, after a busy first day, we had a good feeling that we’d be stopping by this front bar quite a fair bit over the next two days.
In the midst of manning the OSC Cross spot at #3080 and meeting a slew of great folks across the fashion, retailer, and press industry, we did have a chance to sneak off and check out some of the activities going on at the Sandbox Studio lounge. There, along with some great assistance from Ford Models, exhibitors were invited to have their goods photographed and styled in a photoshoot. The results were printed and displayed on their growing wall of product, portrait, and modelled photos.
Aron Phillips of lifestyle and culture blog How To Make It (a part of PROJECT’s ‘Blogger Project’ curated by Marcus Troy) swung by our booth closer to the end of the day – a strategic move with most of the crowds gone and exhibitors frequenting the open bar in the ‘Ski Lift’ area – and we had the pleasure of speaking with him about the line and a bit about our story. Check out his blog here and the nice little writeup he did on our special edition coat on offer for FW13/14. It is such a pleasure to connect with people out there who have taken an interest in OSC Cross, and appreciate all the support that came our way through PROJECT.
Check in again for our recap on the third and final day of PROJECT in the next couple of days.
Auston Bjorkman (Creative Director, SIR NEW YORK) took a break from playing his part as PROJECT’s avant-garde streetwear darling to take us through Fall/Winter 2013 from the Brooklyn brand, which in its short history, has already gained love from Crown Heights artist collectives, streetwear heavies, and even the A$AP Mob.
