extremely difficult because i’ve been taught to add it since i’ve known how to write compound-complex sentences but I KNOW that it’s only really enforced in american english standards—and it feels like im taking away from the original writing style 😩

at the moment im soothing my brain by adding the oxford commas but i would not be surprised if i change my mind on my second edit 😔

I’ve been edging this jacket for the past week and now we’ve finally found sweet release (that was a terrible innuendo to say I am so sorry🥀)

TECHNICAL NOTES

making this was fast, I’m not gonna lie. I did crochet for an entire week, continentally, just for the panels and sleeves. I first made the back and front panels, sewed them, and crocheted the sleeves directly on. The front and back panels worked up extremely quick (two days work) but the sleeves were a drag because of the circular shape. after that I had to do some detail work which I hate. there is no buttons or pockets on this yet because I didn’t have time to buy them/was honestly to lazy to crochet some😭 y’all if you crochet clothes you understand how good it feels to finally get your project looking presentable that you don’t even care if there’s a few details missing, yknow?

I had noticed that the inside of chase’s hood is pink and was planning on crocheting the hood twice in different colors and sewing them together for that effect+creating a hidden pocket of space but then I realized that the entirety of the inside of his jacket was pink and y’all I don’t have the means for that so we’re gonna just pretend like the whole thing is in black ok😭

ever since I started reading the webtoon I wanted to make this and ahhh!! I genuinely feel so good in this omfg

I want to wear this and parade my love for this webtoon to everyone even tho literally no one in my country and especially in my religious sheltered school know this webtoon but just the feeling of wearing it… I’m gonna wear it to school for the first time tomorrow and I couldn’t be more excited to be honest !!

also since trans!chase is my beloved I also had to try putting this on (I made it myself and I thought I ate but it just looks lopsided to be honest lol)

here is me regretting my life choices a progress update. I look so wrecked here…

finished the base for my chase hollow jacket! now I only need to crochet sleeves, borders, and the star details… (+buttons, but I haven’t bought those yet)

so, with the crochet pieces I’ve made so far, I always crocheted from top to bottom, but this one I did from left to right and I think that was a really good choice because it made it stretch over my waist, and with the dark color it really does make it look… for lack of a better word, snatched.

I’ve made three crocheted top pieces so far (and one bottom piece which was a skirt) and this one has felt the quickest of all of them. like I blinked and suddenly I had a back panel and two front panels what the helly😭 guess that’s just experience,, which has been lovely so far.

you might have noticed the front pieces don’t exactly meet in the middle. this is my problem with crocheting button-up pieces; I always manage to forget I have Chest Mass and don’t count that in, so I always have to go back and crochet more rows to adjust it to my chest. Average afab crocheter experience

tomorrow is my easy day, yay! I have maths, religion and that one class where we have to build electrical shit but since it’s a girl school they didn’t care enough to give us a competent teacher so the class just plays mafia all period and I crochetttt it’s a great time
