Since my birthday, I have been trying to be bold - consciously trying to think of ways to initiate conversations with people.

I am a highly self-conscious person - fearful of judgment, failure, criticism, and the like.  I don’t even remember a time where I was confident.

So, I have challenged myself to try and be the most confident and bold person that I can be.

I’m failing hard.  I find it so scary to put myself out there.

So here’s another project.  ProjectBasic is still in full force, but I am also going to add another project.  ProjectConfidence.

I vow that by my next birthday, I am going to be confident.  Be brave.  Be happy.  Be me.  Be Linh.

Cause I am great.  I have to remember that.  I am great.

Next post will be strategies to accomplish this new project.

My sense of humor. I really appreciate my sense of humor when it comes to embarrassing myself. I often do things or say things in public that could be really embarrassing, but I make it easier on myself and others by laughing it off. I know I'm clutzy and scatterbrained sometimes, so it's no surprise when I goof up. Why make it a bad situation when you can make it a funny story to tell later?

I like all the sun spots and freckles I have on my body. I used to count them all the time as a kid, and I legitimately thought I was born with them all. It wasn't until after some years when I realized that more appeared over time. I didn't start getting freckles on my face until a year or two ago.
