1200 Calories....
Kettlebell training burns 1200 calories an hour?
So, people have been making wild claims about how many calories can be burnt per hour with kettlebell training.
I know kettlebell training works, and even I was skeptical.
But recently the ACE was so concerned about these claims that they decided to do some tests of their own on the calories burn of kettlebell training.
The ACE are notoriously conservative, so you can be assured that the tests are rigorous, well documented and mostly importantly, the real deal.
Dr John Porcari, the leader of the study said 'So they were burning at least 20.2 calories per minute, which is off the charts. That's the equivalent of running 6-minute mile pace. The only other thing that can burn that many calories is cross-country skiing up-hill at a past pace'.
THAT is 1200 calories per hour!
And that doesn’t even include the afterburn…..
Researchers credit the huge calorie burn to the fact the kettlebell snatch is a total body movement that is also done very quickly due to the interval-training format.
So now there really is no excuse not to get swinging and snatching.
