RANDOM IT TRIVIA TIDBIT #217
Besides being a re-imagining of the photo album scene from the book/mini-series, the projector scene is actually a direct reference to another one of Stephen King’s stories, “The Sun Dog”, from the anthology “Four Past Midnight” in which a man buys his son an old Sun Polaroid camera and realizes no matter what he takes a picture of, it shows a picture of the same alley and menacing dog getting larger and larger, closer and closer to the front of the image with every picture he takes. At the end, the camera is finally destroyed just as the final Polaroid starts bending and bubbling as the dog tries to break through
This is presumably also why Pennywise, besides just how large he is and the space in the garage, is kinda yipping and crawling on all fours in this scene
As soon as I saw the projector scene in chapter 2 of BATIM, I had to draw this.

ICE Display Division - Video Projection Shapes Mapped In this video we show how multiple surfaces within a scene can be used to display multiple videos and graphs on any XYZ axis on varying shaped surfaces acting as screens simultaneously from one projector. Some call this technique Projection Mapping however when it comes to reshaping video playback on custom irregular size surfaces with video clips we call it Video Shaping. The visual effect allows multiple visual channels and depending on how the videos, graphics, photos and animations are edited and programmed, then your imagination is the limit. Many have seen the amazing complex Projection Mapping shows live and on line, however for many it is beyond budget, skill and capability and that is where Video Shaping becomes more realistic and in some cases a more appropriate solution. Using the ICE Video Shaping Engine it is possible to create visually engaging environments, retail displays, museum sets, theatre and stage sets, indoor displays, art displays, multi media shows, branding and community displays attention where you want to create an innovative and attention grabbing array of projection mapped images and content.
