Here is the final product...
Before I start posting up photographs of the final product ect, this post shows the folder solution I have come up with. To house the #projectpasteup kit, I've made a brown string seal envelope. As for the poster, that will still be available within the kit just not on the back of the packaging. I found it was the best way to present the kit without it getting too complicated and still keeping a sense of intrigue. Images: brown string seal envelope.

Whoa, so I just stumbled across this… The Guerrilla Art Kit. I think I may have to get my hands on it. It would have been perfect for this project!
For more information and a little look inside, head over to Buy Olympia.
Here are two teaser photographs. The completion of the kit is very near!
My #projectpasteup kit is coming together. Only a few things left to do… yay!
Things completed so far: 1. Confirmed design. 2. Sticker sheets printed and diecut. 3. Street art photographs printed.
Things remaining: 1. Packaging. 2. Poster. 3. Print outs of instructions and rationale.
Photographs: Hoiser Lane, Melbourne.
Today, I went back to Hosier Lane to revisit the site of my paste-ups. I was so intrigued to see any changes that may have occurred. To my surprise, both paste-ups were gone… haha well, when i say gone one was there but fully painted over (you could only seen the ends to where the paper met the brick surface.) Oh well it was fun while it lasted. I managed to take a few photographs in the areas where my paste-ups were situated. Another thing I noted going back within two weeks, was that the graffiti of not only one section of the laneway but the entire laneway had already been changed. New, more elaborate and vibrant pieces had been added on top of the existing street art as evident in the photographs above. This wasn't just for Hoiser Lane though, I went around a few other places and noticed the sudden change over.
Folder Inspiration
Above is a collection of images in which I have gathered inspiration from for my folder. After a bit of research and a lot of paper mock-ups, I realised that as the folder is also doubling as a poster it needs to be user friendly and easily unfolded and/or refolded. But it was also important that it didn't have too many creases that lowers its quality. I soon noticed the fine line between practicality and design.
The photograph of the Zetta Florence kit, is one that I have drawn the most inspiration from. I received this package whilst in tafe a couple of years back. The whole rustic feel and unique folds first caught my attention but the inclusion of the string to hold the kit and its contents together is one that I plan to add to my own kit.
As the weeks of this mezzo doc come to an end, the project is being finalised. The final piece has been altered slightly but the essence and its main aim is still there. Instead of a fanned publication of street art photographs, I have decided to create a folder of some sort that contains each photograph on separate sheets of paper. Also found within the folder will be a sticker sheet featuring varies sizes of the pasteups I have created. The stickers can be used to place on the photographs and for personal use. As for the folder itself, it can be unfolded and unpacked to reveal a poster design that can also be used for personal use; either as a poster or for the audience to have their own chance in experience of street art.
What are your thoughts of this change?
