“Joey,” Proko whined. “You cannot wear that out.”

Joseph raised an eyebrow at his indignant plea. “And why is that?”

“Because you look like shit.” Proko replied bluntly.

Joseph looked down at his outfit. “I think you’re wrong, I like it.”

Skov snorted from where he was playing video games on the couch. “Dude, no. Just no. Listen to Proko he actually knows what he’s talking about.”

“I still don’t get what’s wrong with it,” Joseph insisted. “It’s just dark pants and a dark dress shirt with a light tie.”

Proko spluttered at him. “Um, yeah, but the shirt is purple, the pants are dark red and the tie is yellow, it looks atrocious.”

Joseph say back at that. “Hmm. I’ll take your word for it.”

“What do you mean you’ll take my word for it?!” Proko exclaimed. “Look at yourself! And go change, I’ll help.”

Skov snorted. “Proko.” He called.

“What?” Proko huffed.

“You know he’s colorblind right?”

Proko turned around to look at Joseph, eyes shooting daggers at him.

“Seriously.”

Joseph nodded. “Didn’t you know, baby? I thought I told you.”

Proko sat down on the bed next to him and sighed, rubbing his eyes. “Is that why you always just stick to black jeans and a white tank top?”

Joseph nodded. “I thought you knew.”

“But you never told me!” Proko cried, tears brimming in his eyes.

“I’m sorry, Ilya,” Joseph whispered, putting his arm around his shoulder and pulling him into his lap. With more tenderness than Skov had ever seen him move with, he gently carded his fingers through Proko’s hair as he whispered to him. “You can pick out my outfit, I bet even if I wasn’t colorblind I’d still suck at fashion.”

Proko laughed at that, wiping his face on Joseph’s shirt and crawling off him. “Okay, fine, but you have to wear whatever I put you in, deal?”

“Deal.”

Proko smiled at him and strolled off to the closet, already brimming with ideas. He never could stay mad at his Joey for long.
