I see plenty of artists who promote their work very consistently, and sometimes I feel like I should do the same, except that oftentimes I feel like a bother when doing so. I've always had trouble wanting to promote my own work, and though I do have an audience, and I very much appreciate it, I feel like I should work more to maintain it. Which is a very difficult thing for me to do. My mindset is far from the business side of things, which is preferred by me personally, except that to make it as an artist, business and promotion is a must. On the flipside, these thoughts make me appreciate people who's sole job is promoting artists and managing business, as that's a tough job in of itself.
