The Tower: What event would trigger your muse's breaking point?

//By far the event -- or rather, the thing -- that would trigger Valentina’s breaking point is extended sobriety/lack of access to Shimmer. The drug is something she uses to give herself enough of a high as to be more or less numb to her actions and the actions of those she services. If she were to go without it for an extended period of time, she would become too ‘feeling’ of the life she lives. It would disgust her and bring her to be sick and unable to work again out of fear, pain, and horror of what she has done to become who she is and what it is she does currently.

Push Away: Olaf. He seems too barbaric for her tastes, though she might consider looking at physique alone. But again, there’s the aspect of him just being too ill-mannered for her, and thus she’d have to kindly decline.

The Queen’s brows lifted in a show of surprise – well this was new. Although she had no issue with the show of mild affection, Valentina had never expected anything of the sort from Lark of all people. The man was often very reserved, even despite her best efforts to lure him out of his shell, so to have him leave a chaste kiss upon her hand threw her off guard and even brought her cheeks to colour.

“Lark,” she greeted, her voice sultry and kind all at once. Her smile was warmer than usual, to show she welcomed this slight development, regardless of what it signified. “A pleasure to see you again.”

They had separated when they had entered the gala; the two of them always had their own personal business to attend to, and a part of this scale was no different. There were numerous chem-barons in attendance that the First Crow had disclosed he needed to meet with and observe, while Valentina had shared she had to make her rounds as to keep up her good relations with her wealthier customers.

But it wasn’t to say that they would be apart all night. After all, Renzus and Valentina had come together as each other’s date. It wouldn’t be proper to ignore one another for too long, and Valentina saw that Renzus carried this same sentiment as he wandered his way back to her. In one swift motion he swept her onto the dance floor, carrying them to the center and bringing the Queen to smile genuinely despite her manicured facade of mild interest and allure.

“Welcome home, dearest,” she said jokingly, blue eyes twinkling as she fell in step with him. “Always a pleasure to have you with me again, and even more of a pleasure to have you dance with me. It feels like it has been so long since the last time...”
