I agree. I know people get excited about things like pronoun changes, but I think it's best that we take off our gaylor-colored goggles and listen objectively. We don't want to diminish our credibility, and there are a couple of definite pronoun changes that you can't ignore. I'm can't wait for the day we no longer have to debate this because all the 'she's', 'hers', and 'girls' will be crystal clear :)

I 　feel like shit for trying to insist different pronouns. it took a lot of courage, i'll admit, to even talk to a friend about maybe just being referred to by my first name.

I'm so scared that people won't view me as human.

I'm so fucking scared.

But, I've never really felt either way, male or female. more feminine than masculine, but never /girl/.

When people say "You're becoming such a young woman" I want to vomit. Being called a girl or a young lady was one thing, but /woman/ just freaks me out. Like I cease being human.

I wanted to start online though. to see if it would sit well with me.

PRONOUN MAGIC

Hey all! I just wanted to give you a more comprehensive guide on what pronouns I'd like you to use in reference to me!

I would prefer everyone to use my name -- Bekah -- in place of pronouns. However, if you get confused or it sounds really funny or you're talking about two Bekah/Beccas, it's fine to use other pronouns! I'd prefer neutral, but if you forget, feminine is okay!

I made you a chart below for my preferences!

Old --- New <-- reference

She --- Bekah/Zie

Her --- Bekah('s)/Zir* <-- (This is the same for both objective and possessive adjective)

Hers --- Bekah's/Zirs

Herself --- Zirself (coz Bekahsself sounds silly and it makes me giggle you can use it if you want though)

So that's it!

If you really get confused, you can always ask, but if I'm not around, you can use feminine pronouns (though I'd prefer you didn't)

If people start becoming dicks about it though, I'm going to make it harder on all of you. //stern glance//

*Some people use "zim" for the objective pronoun, but not only is that a well known character from invader zim, it just doesn't sit with me well. If you are used to it and slip up a few times, it's okay! But do make an effort please!
