hi hello!! i need a bit of advice! i’m working on a cosplay to wear to the next comic convention that actually happens, but i’m at a bit of a road block. i’m making pied piper’s gloves from the tv version of the flash, and i’m trying to get the base material for fifteen bucks bc the paint and cementing is going to be expensive. the only lights for the top of the gloves that are in my budget are these open lights- like candlelights- though i need to cover it with a dome-like circle. how do i go about that?

Hey, Techblr. I need prop help.

I’m trying to find a way to break a ceramic prop consistently. I want to break it up gently and then seal the cracks with super glue but I’m afraid it will break in more places. The other option I’ve looked at is covering the entire thing in a layer of wax after breaking it so any seam can be melted back together. Is there a more efficient way of doing this? It would need to be pretty cheap and easy to find since this is for a high school production. It would be nice to be able to hear the sound of the ceramic breaking against the stage floor but that’s not absolutely needed.

Note: I have done plastic plates with super glue before but I have to break a ceramic Buddha (in Black Comedy by Peter Schaffer). My thought process behind the wax is that it will be easier to mend between performances or rehearsals and any other cracks will be held by the wax without completely shattering.

Okay I need some help because I’m having a huge dilemma! I dont have Crescent Rose made but I really wanna cosplay Ruby cause I have everything else. Like for me personally I feel like I can’t because Crescent Rose is part of her design and like part of her character?

Is it ok to cosplay Ruby without Crescent Rose? Or should I wait until I have crescent rose made? Also could someone help me make/plan a crescent rose build that either folds or disassembles)?

is there a cheaper, and non toxic, alternative to using plasti-dip on a prop made of eva foam?

Cosplay prop help?

I have a staff that (for good reasons, I can't remove it) has duct tape on it.  I need to paint the staff or cover it in something somehow to make it black.  I'm here asking if any of you lovely people know of something I could either use to paint on the duct tape so it won't just fall off/chip, or a material I could coat the staff in so I could paint the material over the duct tape instead of the tape itself.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Seriously I will love you forever please help me

Sanding tip! Put a strip of duct tape on the back of some sandpaper, fold the edges over, and cut the strip off from the rest of the sandpaper. 

Now you have a durable but flexible strip of sandpaper with handles. Grab the handles and sand back and forth without worrying about tearing the sandpaper. Also great for sanding dowels for staffs or spears; you can coil the sandpaper around the dowel and run it up and down without tearing the sandpaper or catching your hand. You can also cut the duct tape backing to whatever size you need.

Cosplay help: How would I make a sound activating trigger?

So I wanna make a lazer cannon prop for a cosplay, and I'm trying to figure out how I could install a trigger I could pull and it would make a PEW PEW sound. What would I need to make this and how would I have to make it work??

(I wanna cosplay Skrillien and give him an OWSLA-shaped lazer canon where I would hold it by that horizontal bar and the barrels it would shoot out of are those two pointed parts, I was thinking of making it out of like pvc pipe for light weight and durablity?)
