Looking for something to do during the long winter evenings?
Starting tomorrow, Lidl UK has two different sewing machines for sale including an overlocker, limited stocks for each store so if you’re interested it’s best to get there as early as you can. There will also be numerous little sewing and textile crafting supplies, they’ll probably last a while longer.
Come Thursday it’s time to start wood and metal working, with various powertools including a jigsaw and a dremel clone, as well as all kinds of hand tool sets.

Homebase in the UK has an end-of-season stock clearance sale going on. I just picked up a miniature scuttle intended to hold long matches, which looks like it’ll make an interesting 2-inch diameter steampunk torch/spotlight, for £3; a solar-powered PIR intruder light, including 3x1.2v 600mAh NiCads, for £2; another solar-powered powerpack intended for LED intruder lights, with 4x1.2v 600mAh NiCads, for £3. Should be fun to play with.
How great is Noel and Elena's apartment? I want that wallpaper so badly.
