Symposium Proposal

For the upcoming research Symposium, I am working in a cluster with Cassie, Irina and Megan. 

We are titled Making of Place: people, public, urban, community, care

I am really looking forward to being apart of the symposium and hearing everyones research summaries and experiences. 

However, I myself have been struggling to decide what method of presentation I want to use, to best represent my work. 

I feel that dong a simple powerpoint presentation is slightly boring and underwhelming as it is the method most commonly used, however that also means it is the method I am most comfortable and confident with. 

I have decided to use an OHP projector to display my work, that I will talk to. This presentation style means I can have full control of when the images change and the transition time between them. I also think it lends to a more down to earth, less institutional presentation feel which I think compliments my work and encouragement of community connection. I will have the lights dimmed so that my images are visible, but not dark because I want to be able to see the audience and for them to see me, again creating a more personalised experience.
