These Tuscan-style burgers with prosciutto are a delightful twist on a classic burger. The combination of flavors, from the savory prosciutto to the tangy balsamic reduction and sun-dried tomato aioli, will transport your taste buds to the heart of Tuscany. Perfect for a gourmet burger night!
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 burger buns. 4 slices of prosciutto. 4 slices of provolone cheese. 1/2 cup arugula leaves. 1/4 cup sun-dried tomato aioli. 1/4 cup roasted red peppers, sliced. 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: In a bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into 4 burger patties. Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush the burger patties with olive oil and grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. While the burgers are cooking, heat a small skillet over medium heat and add the balsamic vinegar. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until it reduces and thickens slightly. Set aside. When the burgers are almost done, place a slice of provolone cheese on top of each patty and allow it to melt. Toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until lightly browned. To assemble the burgers, spread sun-dried tomato aioli on the bottom half of each bun. Place the cooked burger patties with melted cheese on top of the aioli-covered buns. Top each patty with a slice of prosciutto, a handful of arugula leaves, and some roasted red pepper slices. Drizzle the reduced balsamic vinegar over the toppings. Place the top half of the bun on the assembled ingredients to complete the burger. Serve the Tuscan-Style Burgers with Prosciutto hot and enjoy!
