These Paleo-friendly fig and prosciutto wraps are a delightful combination of sweet and savory flavors. Perfect as an appetizer or a light snack.
Ingredients: 4 fresh figs, halved. 4 slices of prosciutto. 1/4 cup of arugula leaves. 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil. 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar. Salt and black pepper to taste.
Instructions: Set the oven temperature to 375F 190C. Using toothpicks, enclose a prosciutto slice around each fig half. Spread some olive oil on a baking sheet and arrange the wrapped figs. To taste, add salt and black pepper for seasoning. Roast for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the figs are soft and the prosciutto is crispy, in a preheated oven. While the figs are roasting, in a small bowl, combine balsamic vinegar and a dash of black pepper. When the figs are done, take them out of the oven and allow to cool for a short while. Arrange a couple of arugula leaves on a plate, add some roasted figs on top, and then pour the balsamic vinegar dressing over them. Savor your prosciutto and fig wraps, which are Paleo-friendly!
