Feeling Good

Five easy ways to feel good:    1) ​​Right​ where you are ​this moment​,​ look for five things that remind you of a happy memory​ with someone you love​.​ ​ 2) Do something for someone else -- offer to carry ​things, compliment a necklace or a kind behavior, listen, notice someone. Look for opportunities. 3) Spend time with a child, a​ ​pet​, a longhorn steer. Any fun, interesting living creature​​. ​Yeah, even a plant can do, but make it a plant you like. 4) Pretend, REALLY pretend​ to experience​ what life will feel like when your heart's desi​re​ appears in your life. 5​)​ Gratitude? Again? You betcha. Feeling icky and grateful don't seem to be able to co-exist.

Bonus: 6) Next time you're in the grocery store, get five $1 bills and tuck them into places a child might find them -- the chute of the gumball machine, sticking out between a couple of low candy boxes, etc. Be creative. Being creative feels good, as does imagining the excitement of the kid finding the dollar. Try it -- worth the purchase price.
